The 5 Best Kettles for Coffee In 2022

The 5 Best Kettles for Coffee In 2022

Why you need a kettle

The best coffee kettle is easy to use, functional, and ready to go whenever you are. Having a kettle will elevate your at home brewing experience. Brewing coffee between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit will give you the best extraction for your coffee grounds. The best way to know exactly what temperature you are brewing at is to either buy a kettle with a temperature gauge or buy a thermometer that you can place inside the kettle.

If you are new to this exciting world of at home brewing, and have little knowledge about kettles you might find yourself wondering what a gooseneck is? As you will see pictured below, a gooseneck is a long-curved spout that allows you to have more control over your pour. Control is very important when it comes to brewing, because you want to be able to evenly distribute your water across all the grounds.

Trying to pick a kettle can become overwhelming, because just like everything else there are so many options to choose from.

That is why we created this list of the Top 5 Gooseneck Kettles In 2022. We will give you details on each one, but if you don't feel like reading (we understand), simply scroll to the bottom to see our top 5 list.

Stagg EKG Electric Kettle

Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle

The Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle has become a staple for coffee lovers around the world. Not only does it have a sleek design, but there are so many different color options to match your kitchen. The digital timer has a sleek look and is very easy to set at the exact temperature you are looking for.

If the color of your Kettle doesn't excite you then sleeping in will. You can have even more sleep in the morning because this kettle heats up FAST. This kettle has even found a way to defeat procrastination. When you heat up your water with the Stagg it will hold its temperature for up to an hour allowing you to set it and forget it or make multiple cups of coffee.

The only real negative with this kettle is the price point. If you are new to coffee brewing the sticker shock might be real, but we assure you this kettle is absolutely worth it.

Pro: Temperature Control, Sleek Design, Heats Up FAST

Con: High Price Point

Hario V60 Stovetop kettle

Another staple in the coffee community, Hario is a great brand that makes outstanding products. If you prefer going the more traditional route this is a great option for you. This kettle is not electric and will require you to heat up your water on the stovetop.

We love the design of the handle, because it gives you even more control over your pour. One of the most popular items from Hario is the Hario V60 Ceramic Coffee Dripper. This kettle is a great addition to that dripper but will work for whatever your favorite brew method is.

The downside of this kettle is the reason some people will love this kettle. This kettle is not electric! You have to put a lot more time and thought into what you are doing, and you certainly cannot set this and forget it. Additionally, this kettle doesn't come with a thermometer so you will have to pick one of those up to know exactly what temperature you are brewing at.

Pro: Sleek Design, Lightweight Easy to Grip

Con: Boiling Water is More Hands On, Temperature Gauge Not Included

Bonavita Electric Kettle.

Bonavita Electric Kettle

The Bonavita electric kettle offers a unique design with a lot more control than a stovetop kettle. The temperature range for the Bonavita is 140-212 F and can be adjusted in one-degree increments.

This kettle offers a great price for those who do not want to spend up to get the Stagg, and still has great features! It heats up very fast, gives the user full control of the temperature, and will hold that temperature for one hour.

The Bonavita electric kettle satisfies all the necessary qualities of an electric kettle in today's marketplace. It is a kettle that allows you to set the exact temperature, a kettle that will hold that temperature, and a kettle that will satisfy all the brewing needs not matter what your coffee brewing experience is. The biggest downside to this kettle is not functionality but aesthetics. The outdated look will lead to some buyers continuing their search.

Pro: Full Temperature Control, Heats Up Fast

Con: Outdated Look

Bean Envy Stovetop Kettle

The Bean Envy Pour-Over Kettle is a great option for anyone who prefers something that is not electric. It is the best priced on our list, and even comes with a built-in thermometer.

This kettle is durable, easy to clean, and comes with a handle similar to the Hario V60 Kettle. Although this Kettle and the Hario V60 Kettle are very similar, the price point of the Bean Envy is hard to beat and you will never have to wonder what temperature your coffee is.

Once again, the biggest negative is something that others might find to be a positive. It is not electric. It is hard to beat a kettle that you can turn on and walk away from and not have to worry about burning your house down. However, if you enjoy watching your water boil you have found the kettle for you.

Pro: Price, Built in Thermometer, Easy Pour

Con: Not Electric

Cosori Electric Kettle

Cosori Electric Kettle

The Cosori Electric Kettle is for all of my people who like things to be easy. It offers various heat settings, heats up quick, and will not break the bank.

If you are someone who likes to heat up water for options other than coffee this one is perfect for you. There are 5 different preset options that only take the click of a button! White Tea, Green Tea, Oolong, Coffee, and Black Tea all become easy options with this kettle. There is even an option to hold the temperature if you find yourself wanting more than one cup or you are not quite ready for your first cup.

The only real negative of this kettle is the inability to set your water to a temperature outside of the preset options. Although we are not quite sure why you would want to, maybe you like to set your water to 186 degrees. This is not a preset so you would not be able to.

Pro: Tons of Options, Quick Boil, Price

Con: Specific Temperature Unavailable
